When I was recently invited to a wedding in Portland, Oregon I started to research some fun(!!?) places to visit. I found a book called ‘Fugitives and Refugees: A Walk Through Portland’ by Chuck Palahnuik
Chuck mentions the Stark’s Vacuum Museum – when I asked my friend she had no idea what I was talking about but it turns out it’s attached to the store where everyone buys their vacuums.
The 300 strong collection include durable wooden devices made in the 1800s to chic, space-age cleaners from the 1960s.
It might not be everyones idea of fun but we enjoyed looking at the hallway of archaic vacs!
